+ What information do we collect about you?
When you make a booking with Magic Holidays or one of its affiliated sites (TravelUp, Bravo Travel, Holiday Genie, Bookable Holidays) we will capture personal information about the lead passenger - name, address, telephone number and email address. In addition we will collect the name and date of birth of all travelling passengers and sometimes passport details so we can complete Advanced Passenger Information (API) on certain travel routes.
In some cases we may also need to collect more sensitive data such as medical information and details of any special requirements, or dietary information to ensure your booking is delivered to meet your needs.
We collect your payment information, including credit/debit card details to gain payment for services. These details will be passed through our fraud protection checks and then removed immediately from our servers.
+ How will we use the information about you?
We process your personal data for our legitimate interests as a business but only if necessary for the purpose we collected it for. We use your personal information to:
- supply you with the services you have purchased
- send statements, invoices and collect payments from you
- communicate with you about your booking
- respond to enquiries and complaints made by you
- improve your browsing experience by personalising the website and communications
- enable your use of the services available on the website
- conduct analysis to understand how our services are used
- keep the website secure and prevent fraud
Our representatives may also use your personal details to follow up, either by email, phone or mail, to people who have registered their details with us or did not complete their booking.
We will only ever send you emails and/or text messages or phone calls related to any bookings with us.
+ Who do we share your information with?
If you have made a booking with us, we need to share details for all passengers on the booking with the airline, hotelier or any other supplier we are buying your requested service from. This will include personal information for all passengers such as title, name, date of birth and sometimes passport information including nationality (for Advanced Passenger Information purposes). It will also include more sensitive data such as medical information and details of any special requirements, or dietary information however; we will only share information that is relevant and necessary to fulfil your booking.
We may also be required by law to share your information with certain government organisations such as customs or immigration authorities, the police or other legal bodies if a valid legal request has been received.
We use third parties to perform some services on our behalf such as anti-fraud screening service providers when processing payments. In such cases, they may have limited access to certain personal information but are contracted to only use personal information strictly as instructed and never for their own purposes.
We will not pass your personal information to any third parties for the purpose of direct marketing.
